Description

The Essenra is a 1-light crystal wall sconce built around a curved gold-plated metal frame draped with densely-cut strass crystal droplets arranged in a rounded basket formation. The frame measures 16.5cm in diameter and projects 10cm from the wall, with a single BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulb fitting at the centre of the crystal arrangement. The fitting accepts bulbs up to 60W.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, dining rooms and powder rooms where wall space allows decorative accent lighting, the Essenra works as a solo feature beside a mirror or in pairs flanking a doorway, artwork or headboard. The 10cm projection keeps the fitting clear of passing shoulders in corridors 1m wide or greater. The shallow basket shape directs most light forward and to the sides rather than up or down, making it more decorative than task-oriented.

Each strass crystal droplet is precision-cut to create multiple facets that refract ambient and direct light, producing a scattered sparkle effect against the wall behind. The gold-plated finish on the metal frame provides a warm metallic contrast to the clear crystal and suits traditional, classical and warm-toned interiors. The fitting weighs 1kg when assembled, requiring secure wall fixings into solid masonry or timber studs rather than plasterboard alone.

What bulb does it take?

The Essenra takes a BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED candle bulb between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to complement the gold finish and create a warm glow through the crystal.

How far does it stick out from the wall?

The fitting projects 10cm from the wall once mounted. This shallow projection works well in hallways and corridors 1m wide or greater, keeping the crystal clear of passing shoulders while still providing visual presence.

Can it be mounted in a bathroom?

The Essenra carries no IP rating and is not splash-proof, so it should not be mounted within zones 1 or 2 of a bathroom. It can be used in zone 3 (more than 60cm from a bath or shower) or in powder rooms with no direct water exposure.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power and allow the bulb to cool completely. Wipe each crystal droplet with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For more thorough cleaning, individual droplets can be removed from the frame, washed in warm soapy water, rinsed and dried before re-hanging.
