Description

The Eclipse is a 16cm square wall lamp built around two layered glass shades: an outer moulded clear glass panel and an inner sphere wrapped with decorative filament wire, both mounted on a polished chrome back plate. A single G9 halogen or LED bulb (sold separately) sits inside the inner sphere, casting 550 lumens through the wire-wrapped diffuser and the outer glass layer.

Designed for hallways, stairwells, bedroom accent walls and bathrooms outside wet zones (IP20 rated), the Eclipse provides ambient light with a compact footprint. The 15cm projection from the wall keeps the fitting clear of door frames and narrow corridor traffic, while the double-layered glass construction diffuses the light source without creating harsh shadows on adjacent walls.

The polished chrome finish on the back plate and mounting bracket pairs with both cool-toned contemporary interiors and warmer neutrals. The filament wrap around the inner sphere is visible when the lamp is off, adding texture to the design during daylight hours. The outer moulded glass catches and refracts the light when the lamp is on, creating a soft halo effect against the wall.

The fitting takes a single G9 halogen or LED bulb up to 10W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED G9 bulb between 3W-5W and 2700K-3000K for ambient hallway or bedroom lighting.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The Eclipse carries an IP20 rating, which means it is not protected against moisture and should only be installed in bathrooms outside wet zones (Zone 3 or beyond), typically more than 600mm from a bath or shower enclosure.

The fitting projects 15cm from the wall when mounted. This compact depth suits narrow hallways and spaces where a deeper projection would obstruct doorways or walkways.
