Dorella 2 Light Georgian Lead Crystal Wall Light - Chrome

The Dorella is a 2-light wall light built on a circular chrome backplate with two curved glass arms rising symmetrically either side of the central mounting point. Each arm holds a white candle sleeve with an SES bulb fitting and is dressed with faceted lead crystal droplets that hang from the glass arm structure and from a petal-shaped crystal bobeche at the base of each candle. The backplate, arms and central column are finished in polished chrome.

Designed for hallways, stairwell landings and reception rooms where a classical wall light is needed without excessive projection from the wall, the Dorella fits within a 19cm depth from the mounting surface. The 38cm width suits typical wall spacing between doorframes and architectural features, and the twin-arm symmetry balances well when installed in pairs either side of a mirror, fireplace or artwork. Each bulb takes up to 60W on SES (small Edison screw) fitting, giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or decorative filament candle bulbs.

The lead crystal droplets are individually cut and faceted in the Czech tradition, refracting light from the two candle bulbs into prismatic patterns across adjacent walls and ceilings when lit. The chrome finish on the metalwork and the clear crystal give the fitting a cooler tone than brass or gold equivalents, pairing well with grey, white and blue-toned interiors as well as traditional schemes that favour silver metals. At 1.6kg the fitting has enough mass to feel substantial without requiring reinforced fixings beyond a standard plasterboard toggle or masonry anchor into brick.

What bulb does the Dorella take?

Each arm takes one SES (small Edison screw, E14 base) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with LED candle bulbs in the 4-6W range, choosing either clear glass for maximum sparkle through the crystal or frosted for a softer glow.

Is this suitable for a bathroom?

The Dorella carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor use only. It should not be installed in bathrooms or other damp environments.

How far does it project from the wall?

The projection from the mounting surface to the outermost point of the glass arms is 19cm, making it suitable for narrower hallways and stairwell landings where deeper wall lights would obstruct passage.

Can the crystal droplets be removed for cleaning?

The crystal droplets are wired onto the metal frame and glass arms. They can be unhooked individually for dusting or washing in warm soapy water, then re-attached once dry. Handle with care to avoid chipping the faceted edges.
