Description

The Dione is a two-light crystal wall light built around a rectangular polished chrome backplate with vertical columns of faceted crystal prisms suspended in front. Each of the two G9 bulb holders sits behind the crystal rows, casting light forward through the prisms and outward along the wall surface. The 10cm width and 21.8cm height give the fitting a compact footprint suitable for narrower wall sections.

Designed for bathroom mirror flanks, hallway accent lighting, and bedroom walls where vertical space is limited, the Dione provides both ambient and decorative light. The stacked crystal prisms refract the bulb light into multiple points across the chrome frame, creating surface sparkle without the mass of a full crystal chandelier. Pairs work well either side of a mirror or at regular intervals along a corridor where a single ceiling fitting would leave gaps.

The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding light and pairs cleanly with chrome taps, mirror frames and door furniture in bathrooms and dressing areas. Each vertical strand of crystal prisms hangs from the upper chrome rail, with smaller droplets along the lower edge adding movement when air currents shift. The maximum 33W total load (approximately 16W per G9 bulb) provides adequate task light for a mirror position or enough accent light to mark a hallway transition without overpowering a small space.

What bulbs does it take?

The Dione takes two G9 capsule bulbs with a maximum combined wattage of 33W. G9 bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 3-5W warm-white LED G9 bulbs for bathroom or hallway use.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

The Dione carries no stated IP rating in the specification, so it should be installed outside bathroom zones requiring splash protection (typically zone 2 or higher, more than 60cm from a bath or shower). It works well flanking a mirror on a dry wall.

Can it be installed with the crystals facing downward?

The crystal prisms hang vertically from the upper chrome rail by design. Inverting the fitting would cause the crystals to rest against the backplate rather than suspend freely, reducing the light refraction effect.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power at the fuse box before cleaning. Wipe the chrome backplate with a dry microfibre cloth. For the crystal prisms, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water, then dry immediately to avoid water marks. Avoid sprays or chemical cleaners that can leave residue on the faceted surfaces.
