Description

The Delya is a 12cm chrome wall light with a smoked glass dome enclosing a suspended cluster of faceted crystal beads. The polished chrome backplate measures 12cm square and provides 16.4cm projection from the wall, holding the glass dome clear of the mounting surface. A single G9 bulb (sold separately) sits behind the crystal beads, lighting them from within so the facets refract and scatter the light through the smoked glass.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways and paired installation either side of a bathroom mirror or bedframe, the Delya suits walls where a compact fitting is needed without sacrificing decorative presence. The 12cm diameter keeps the visual footprint small enough for narrow hallways or alcoves, while the crystal bead cluster adds depth and movement when lit. The smoked glass softens the light output, reducing glare while maintaining enough brightness for ambient lighting in spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4-2.7m.

The chrome finish on both the backplate and dome cap reflects surrounding light and pairs with polished chrome taps, handles and switch plates in bathrooms, or with grey, black and white schemes in contemporary bedrooms. The square backplate contrasts with the round dome, giving the fitting a geometric profile that sits comfortably in both minimalist and more layered interiors. At 1kg fitted weight the Delya mounts securely on plasterboard with appropriate fixings or directly onto masonry with standard wall plugs.

What bulb does the Delya take?

The fitting takes a single G9 bulb up to 33W (sold separately). Most users pair it with a 3-5W LED G9 bulb in 2700K-3000K warm white for bedroom and hallway use.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The Delya does not carry an IP rating, so it is suitable for general bathroom use outside the defined shower zones. It should not be installed within 60cm of a shower head or bath tap.

What fixings are needed for plasterboard walls?

At 1kg fitted weight, the Delya requires plasterboard anchors rated to at least 5kg per fixing (e.g. metal toggle anchors or cavity fixings). On solid masonry walls, standard wall plugs and screws are sufficient.

Can the smoked glass dome be cleaned?

Yes. The dome can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth, either dry or slightly dampened with glass cleaner. The crystal beads inside can be cleaned with a dry cloth once the dome is removed (turn off power first).
