Description
The Catalis is a 60cm diameter five-tier crystal pendant built around vertical crystal rods arranged in concentric circles and suspended from a polished chrome ceiling plate. Seven GU10 lamp holders sit recessed within the chrome canopy, directing light down through the five stacked tiers of crystal tubes. The 122cm overall height and 16kg weight give the fitting substantial presence in double-height spaces.
Designed for entrance halls, stairwells and dining rooms with ceiling heights of 3m or above, the Catalis works where a pendant can hang freely without head clearance constraints. The five-tier structure creates a cascading rhythm of light as it passes through each layer of crystal rods, with reflections multiplying between the vertical tubes. The polished chrome finish on the canopy and internal frame provides a bright metallic accent that pairs with contemporary and Art Deco-influenced interiors.
Each tier uses crystal rods of different lengths to build the tapered profile, with the longest rods forming the lowest tier and the shortest at the top beneath the canopy. The rods are held on fine stainless steel cables that run through the centre of each crystal tube, keeping the structure aligned while allowing light to pass through unobstructed. The 16kg combined weight of chrome frame and crystal requires a ceiling rose rated for heavy loads and a ceiling joist or reinforced fixing point.
The Catalis accepts seven GU10 bulbs up to 35W each (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or energy-saving lamps depending on the light output and colour temperature needed. Most installations use warm-white LED GU10s between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to balance the reflective quality of the chrome and crystal without creating glare.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Catalis take?
The pendant takes seven GU10 bulbs up to 35W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose warm-white LED GU10s between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to balance light output with the reflective chrome and crystal without creating harsh glare.
What ceiling height is needed?
With a 122cm drop, the Catalis suits rooms with ceiling heights of 3m or above. The pendant is designed for double-height entrance halls, stairwells and dining rooms where it can hang freely without head clearance concerns.
How much does it weigh and what fixing is required?
The fitting weighs 16kg when fully assembled. It requires a ceiling rose rated for heavy loads and must be fixed to a ceiling joist or reinforced fixing point. Standard plasterboard alone will not support this weight safely.
How is the crystal maintained?
The crystal rods can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth while the bulbs are switched off and cool. For more thorough cleaning, individual rods can be removed from their cables and washed in warm soapy water, then dried and refitted. Avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the chrome canopy or electrical components.
