Candler 2 Light Crystal Wall Light - Polished Chrome

The Candler is a 2-light crystal wall light with a polished chrome backplate and two arching chrome arms, each supporting a candle-effect SES bulb holder with a scalloped glass drip tray and hanging crystal prisms. The chrome frame curves outward from the circular backplate in a symmetrical bracket shape, with faceted crystal droplets suspended from each arm and from the base of the backplate.

Designed for hallways, staircases, dining rooms and bedroom flanking positions, the Candler works in pairs either side of a mirror, fireplace or bed headboard. The 26cm projection from the wall positions the light forward enough to cast illumination across the wall surface while the crystal prisms refract light into the room. The two SES bulbs (sold separately) sit openly in chrome candle sleeves, so a decorative filament or flame-tip bulb shows through the glass and adds to the fitting's visual impact.

The polished chrome provides a bright reflective finish that amplifies light output and pairs with both traditional and transitional interiors. Each arm holds a moulded glass bobeche under the bulb holder, replicating the wax-catch detail of classical candle sconces. The crystal prisms are facet-cut to create rainbow refractions when lit, adding movement to the wall. At 1.9kg the fitting requires secure fixing into masonry or into a timber stud — the backplate conceals the fixing points once installed.

What bulbs does the Candler take?

The fitting takes two SES (E14 small Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with decorative candle or flame-tip LED bulbs at 4-6W to show the filament through the open glass bobeches.

Can it be fitted to plasterboard walls?

At 1.9kg the Candler needs secure fixing. If the wall is plasterboard over timber studs, fix into a stud position. If the wall is solid plasterboard with no stud behind, use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors rated for at least 3kg. Masonry walls accept standard wall plugs and screws.

What width does it cover when mounted?

The fitting measures 36cm across at its widest point (arm tip to arm tip). The circular chrome backplate is approximately 12cm diameter, so the wall space required is roughly 40cm wide to allow clearance either side.

Does the chrome finish show fingerprints?

Polished chrome is reflective and will show fingerprints if touched during cleaning or bulb changes. Wipe with a dry microfibre cloth to remove smudges. Avoid spray polishes or chemical cleaners on the crystal prisms — they can leave residue that dulls the facets.
