Description

The Brunsen is a 23cm diameter single-light pendant with a shallow gold-finished metal ring supporting a curtain of faceted strass crystal droplets. The crystal strands cascade in tapered tiers around a central BC (bayonet cap) bulb fitting, creating refraction and sparkle when the bulb is lit. The pendant hangs on an adjustable chain from a matching gold canopy.

Designed for smaller rooms where a full chandelier would overwhelm, the Brunsen suits hallways, powder rooms, dressing rooms, and bedside positions in bedrooms. The 24cm drop from canopy to lowest crystal makes it appropriate for standard 2.4m ceiling heights when hung 60-80cm above a surface or 180-200cm above floor level. Multiple Brunsens can be installed in a row over kitchen islands or dining tables to create repeated accent lighting without the visual weight of a larger fitting.

The gold finish on the metal ring and chain provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with both traditional brass hardware and warmer contemporary interiors. The strass crystal droplets are cut glass rather than acrylic, giving sharper light refraction and a heavier feel than plastic alternatives. The fitting accepts a BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-6W warm-white LED filament bulb in a classic candle or golf ball shape for visible sparkle through the crystal.

Switch off at the mains and allow the bulb to cool. Wipe each crystal droplet individually with a dry microfibre cloth. For heavier dust, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but dry immediately to avoid water spots.
