Breon 1 Light Lantern - Antique Brass

The Breon is a 26cm lantern pendant built around a ribbed antique brass frame that encases curved clear glass panels in a low, rounded profile. A single ES (E27) bulb sits at the centre, with the brass ribs dividing the glass into segments that allow light to pass through whilst giving the fixture its sculptural form. The antique brass finish carries a warm, aged patina that softens reflections and pairs naturally with traditional and transitional interiors.

Designed for entryways, breakfast nooks, kitchen peninsulas and smaller dining areas, the Breon hangs from a matching antique brass ceiling plate on a chain that can be adjusted during installation to suit ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.2m. The 26cm width and height give the lantern a compact presence that works in circulation spaces without obstructing sightlines or overwhelming narrow hallways. The transparent glass panels maintain visual openness whilst the brass frame provides definition.

The curved glass panels and ribbed brass structure combine heritage lantern styling with a softer, bulbous profile that distinguishes the Breon from angular box lanterns. At 3kg, the fitting has enough weight to hang steadily on a chain without needing additional stability measures. The clear glass shows the bulb inside, so pairing with a decorative filament or vintage-style LED bulb enhances the period character. The antique brass pairs comfortably with warm wood tones, cream walls and other brass or copper accents in a room.

What bulb does it take?

The Breon takes a single ES (E27 Edison screw) bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. A decorative filament LED bulb in the 4-6W range at 2200K-2700K complements the antique brass finish and shows through the clear glass panels.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 26cm height and adjustable chain work in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.2m. For entryways and hallways the lantern typically hangs 2m-2.2m above floor level to maintain clearance. Over a breakfast table or kitchen peninsula it can hang lower, around 700-800mm above the surface.

Is the glass tinted or clear?

The glass panels are clear, allowing full visibility of the bulb inside and maximising light output. The warm tone visible in some lighting conditions comes from the antique brass frame reflecting onto the glass, not from tinted glass.

Can multiple Breon lanterns be installed together?

Yes. Two or three Breon lanterns work well in a row over a kitchen island or along a hallway, spaced 800mm-1200mm apart depending on the length of the space. The compact 26cm width prevents visual crowding when multiples are used.
