Description
The Bostin is a 49cm cut crystal table lamp built around a stacked carafe silhouette with diamond-etched detailing and a polished nickel circular base. The body comprises two bulbous crystal sections separated by a clear octagonal disc, each section deeply etched in a diagonal criss-cross pattern that catches and refracts light from both the lamp itself and surrounding windows or ceiling fittings.
Designed for console tables, sideboards and bedside tables where vertical height adds presence without overwhelming horizontal space, the 15cm diameter footprint fits most standard table surfaces. The BC bulb fitting (bayonet cap) accepts any standard BC bulb up to 60W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose warm, cool or daylight tone depending on room function. The polished nickel base provides a reflective anchor that echoes metallic picture frames, drawer pulls and mirror edges common to traditional and transitional interiors.
The crystal sections are moulded glass rather than hand-cut lead crystal, keeping the weight manageable at 2.1kg while maintaining clarity and refraction. The multi-tier structure creates visual interest from multiple angles — the lower pineapple-style section tapers upward into the disc separator, then expands into the upper carafe form that leads to the nickel lamp holder. The diagonal etch pattern diffuses direct light from the bulb when switched on, reducing glare and creating a softer ambient glow through the crystal.
The transparency and stacked proportions suit rooms where the lamp needs to provide light without blocking sightlines across a console or sideboard surface. Pair with a fabric shade (not included) for a traditional table lamp configuration, or use as a decorative base with a small clip-on shade for accent lighting in hallways and entrance areas.

Frequently Asked
Does the lamp come with a shade?
No. The Bostin is sold as a crystal base only, without a shade. It accepts standard BC (bayonet cap) shades with a fitter that clips or screws onto the lamp holder. Most users pair it with a fabric drum or empire shade in cream, ivory or taupe to complement the crystal and nickel finish.
What bulb does it take?
The lamp takes a BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. For traditional interiors, a warm-white LED bulb at 6-8W and 2700K provides sufficient light for reading and ambient use without overpowering the crystal detailing.
Is the crystal hand-cut lead crystal?
No. The crystal sections are moulded glass with etched detailing, designed to provide clarity and refraction at a lower weight and cost than hand-cut lead crystal. The material is still transparent and refractive, creating the characteristic light play associated with crystal table lamps.
Where does the lamp work best?
The 49cm height suits console tables in hallways, sideboards in dining rooms, and bedside tables where a taller lamp provides better light reach for reading. The narrow 15cm footprint means it fits standard table surfaces without taking up excessive horizontal space.
