Description

The Betana is a single-light wall fitting with cascading crystal droplets suspended from a chrome backplate and curved arm. The fitting measures 220mm wide by 240mm high and holds one SES (small Edison screw) candle bulb up to 60W. Multiple strands of faceted crystal beads hang from the arm in a waterfall arrangement, catching and refracting light from the bulb and surrounding room illumination.

Designed as decorative accent lighting rather than primary room illumination, Betana works best in pairs flanking hallway mirrors, bedheads or console tables where symmetry creates visual balance. The chrome finish provides high reflectivity that amplifies light output, while the crystal droplets add texture and movement. At 3.8kg the fitting requires secure fixing to a solid wall or stud-backed surface.

The chrome frame uses a smooth polished finish that contrasts with the cut facets of the crystal strands. What bulb does the Betana take?

The fitting uses one SES (Small Edison Screw, E14 base) candle bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED candle bulb between 4-6W and 2700K for decorative accent lighting.

Can the Betana be installed on plasterboard walls?

At 3.8kg the fitting requires secure wall fixing. For plasterboard walls use appropriate cavity fixings rated for the weight, or mount where the backplate can be fixed into a wall stud. On solid brick or block walls standard wall plugs and screws are sufficient.

Is the Betana suitable for bathrooms?

The fitting carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor use only. It should not be installed in bathrooms or other high-humidity environments unless positioned well away from zones defined in BS 7671 wiring regulations.

How are the crystal strands cleaned?

Switch off the power and allow the bulb to cool fully. Remove dust with a soft brush or dry microfibre cloth. For more thorough cleaning, individual crystal beads can be wiped with a barely-damp cloth and distilled water, then dried immediately to prevent water spotting.
