Can it be mounted on plasterboard?

How do you clean the crystal droplets?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool. Remove crystal strands from the bobeche pins by gently unhooking each octagonal pendant. Wash in warm water with a drop of washing-up liquid, rinse in distilled water, and dry with a lint-free cloth. Rehang once fully dry.

Is the gold finish lacquered?
