Description

The PowerMaster IP44 dual wall light is a cylindrical stainless steel fitting with two GU10 lamp holders positioned to cast light both upwards and downwards. The brushed stainless steel body houses clear tempered glass lenses at each end, allowing direct light projection onto the wall above and below the fitting. Each GU10 bulb (sold separately) can be controlled independently if wired to separate switches.

Designed for outdoor installation on porch walls, garage entrances, garden walls and patios, the IP44 rating protects the internal components from water splashes and solid objects down to 1mm diameter. The fitting is rated for bathroom Zones 1, 2 and 3 but not Zone 0 (directly inside a shower enclosure). The dual-illumination pattern provides both functional light and architectural accent, highlighting wall textures and creating visual interest on plain render or brick.

The stainless steel construction resists corrosion in UK coastal and urban environments, while the brushed finish minimises visible fingerprints during installation. At 103mm wide, 100mm tall and 160mm projection from the wall, the fitting suits most domestic exterior wall spaces without dominating the facade. The 0.41kg weight allows installation onto standard masonry fixings without needing reinforced backing.

What bulbs does it take?

The fitting takes two GU10 bulbs (sold separately), one for the upward light and one for the downward light. Most users pair this with 5-7W warm-white LED GU10s for exterior accent lighting, or higher wattage for functional security lighting.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating makes it suitable for bathroom Zones 1, 2 and 3 (areas outside the shower enclosure or bathtub). It is not rated for Zone 0 (directly inside a shower cubicle or above a bath).

Is the stainless steel resistant to coastal corrosion?

Stainless steel offers good corrosion resistance in most UK environments including coastal areas. In high-salinity locations within a few hundred metres of the sea, periodic rinsing with fresh water will extend the finish life.

How far does it project from the wall?

The fitting projects 160mm from the wall once installed. This provides clearance for the dual light pattern to cast effectively upwards and downwards without the wall surface blocking the beam spread.
