Description

The Luxa is a 35cm copper-toned glass pendant light with a single E14 bulb fitting (max 6W, bulb sold separately), suspended on a black fabric cable from a copper-finish metal canopy. The glass globe is hand-finished with a swirled surface pattern that creates an organic, asymmetric profile, so each piece differs slightly in how the glass catches light and reflections.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and stairwells with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Luxa works as a single pendant over a small dining table or in multiples over longer surfaces. The 35cm diameter gives enough visual presence to anchor a dining zone without overwhelming the space, while the semi-transparent copper-toned glass softens the light output and adds warmth to neutral or cooler-toned interiors. The black cable adjusts during installation to set the pendant at the appropriate height above the surface below.

The copper tone in the glass is achieved through metallic coating applied during manufacturing, giving a reflective finish that shifts in appearance depending on ambient light levels and viewing angle. The swirled surface texture distorts reflections and adds a sculptural quality that works in contemporary, industrial and mid-century interiors. At 2.9kg the pendant has sufficient weight to hang straight without swaying but is light enough to fit standard UK ceiling roses.

What bulb does it take?

The Luxa takes a single E14 small Edison screw bulb with a maximum rating of 6W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED candle or golf ball bulb at 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting.

Is the copper finish on the glass or the metal?

The copper tone is applied to the glass globe itself through metallic coating during manufacturing. The metal canopy at the ceiling fixing point is also finished in copper. The cable is black fabric.

Can multiple pendants be used over a long dining table or island?

Yes. The Luxa is commonly installed in groups of two or three over elongated surfaces. Space pendants approximately 600-800mm apart centre-to-centre for balanced coverage over a kitchen island or dining table longer than 1.8m.

How is the glass cleaned?

Wipe the exterior of the glass globe with a dry microfibre cloth when the bulb is off and cool. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid household sprays and abrasive cleaners, which can damage the metallic coating on the glass.
