Description
The LumiLife outdoor spotlight fitting is a fixed IP65-rated downlight housing with a die-cast aluminium body, clear glass front lens, and a GU10 lampholder. The fitting accepts any standard GU10 bulb up to 65W (sold separately) and installs into a 72mm ceiling cut-out using a quick-connect terminal block instead of traditional push-fit connectors.
Designed for outdoor use in soffits, covered porches, carports, and open-sided garden buildings, the IP65 front rating protects the bulb and lampholder from direct water jets and dust ingress. The fitting is fire rated to 30, 60 and 90 minutes and meets Acoustic Part E requirements, making it suitable for installation in ceilings forming part of a fire compartment boundary or separating walls between dwellings. Zones 1, 2 and 3 bathroom installation is permitted where appropriate circuit protection is in place; Zone 0 installation is not permitted.
The die-cast aluminium body provides strength without excessive weight at 0.29kg, and the silver finish coordinates with contemporary and industrial exterior schemes. The quick-connect terminal block at the rear of the fitting allows mains cable to be connected without needing to strip excessive cable length or use separate connector blocks, speeding up multi-fitting installations. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a dimmable GU10 bulb and compatible dimmer switch.

Frequently Asked
Does this come with a bulb?
No. The fitting is supplied with the GU10 lampholder only. Any standard GU10 LED, halogen or low-energy bulb up to 65W can be fitted separately.
Can this be used outdoors in exposed locations?
The IP65 front rating protects against direct water jets and dust, but the fitting is designed for soffit, porch and covered installation rather than fully exposed wall or ground mounting. It should be installed under an overhang or within a recessed soffit where rain does not pool directly on the glass lens.
What does the quick-connect terminal do?
The quick-connect terminal block at the rear of the fitting allows mains cable to be connected directly without needing separate junction boxes or connector blocks. This speeds up installation when fitting multiple spotlights across a soffit run.
Is it suitable for bathroom zones?
Yes, for Zones 1, 2 and 3 only, provided appropriate RCD protection is in place. The fitting is not rated for Zone 0 (inside a shower enclosure or directly above a bath).
