Description

The LumiLife 600x600mm LED panel light is a direct replacement for traditional T8 and T5 fluorescent ceiling panels, delivering 4000 lumens from a 40W LED array behind a white opal diffuser. The panel outputs 4000K cool white light at a 120-degree beam angle, providing even wash illumination across office ceilings, retail spaces, corridors and meeting rooms. The white aluminium frame (RAL 9016) sits flush with standard 600x600mm suspended ceiling grids.

Designed for commercial and office installation, the panel fits Armstrong, Ecophon and other modular suspended ceiling systems with a standard 600x600mm tile aperture. The panel can be recessed directly into the grid or surface-mounted using an optional frame kit. The LiFud non-flicker driver maintains consistent output without visible flicker or hum, and the panel is compatible with both mains dimmable and DALI dimming systems when paired with appropriate controls. IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor areas only.

The 40W power draw replaces typical 4x18W T8 fluorescent fittings (72W) with a 44% reduction in energy consumption at comparable lumen output. The panel is rated for 50,000 hours at L70 degradation, equivalent to approximately 11 years of continuous operation or 22 years at typical 12-hour daily office use. The white aluminium frame measures 9mm thick and weighs 2.5kg, providing structural rigidity for safe ceiling grid installation. LIA Laboratories have tested the panel to TP(b) flame rating standards.

Does this fit standard suspended ceiling grids?

Yes. The 600x600mm dimension is the standard modular ceiling tile size used in Armstrong, Ecophon and similar grid systems. The panel sits directly into the grid aperture and rests on the T-bar framework.

Is it dimmable?

Yes. The LiFud driver supports both mains dimmable and DALI dimming protocols. You will need a compatible dimmer or DALI controller to adjust brightness — the panel cannot be dimmed using standard household wall dimmers without additional control equipment.

What wattage fluorescent fitting does this replace?

A typical 600x600mm fluorescent troffer uses four 18W T8 tubes, totalling 72W. This 40W LED panel delivers comparable lumen output (4000lm) with a 44% reduction in power consumption.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor areas only. For bathroom installation you need an IP44 or higher-rated panel light to comply with UK wiring regulations for zones 1-2.
