Description

The LumiLife 30W LED bulkhead is an IP65-rated outdoor wall light with adjustable colour temperature between 3000K warm white, 4000K cool white and 6000K daylight. A switch on the fitting's interior selects which temperature is active, allowing the bulkhead to be configured during installation to suit the site's lighting scheme without needing multiple product variants in stock.

Designed for walls, patios, driveways, garage exteriors and commercial building perimeters, the bulkhead delivers 2700 lumens at 90 lumens per watt across a 120-degree beam. The IP65 rating protects the LED module and driver from dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making the fitting suitable for exposed positions including coastal and high-rainfall areas. The operating temperature range of -20°C to 40°C covers typical UK outdoor conditions year-round.

The polycarbonate diffuser is impact-resistant and mounted on a die-cast housing finished in black. Quick-fit push terminals inside the housing simplify wiring on site, removing the need for screwdrivers or additional connector blocks during installation. The 264mm width and 309mm height give the bulkhead a substantial presence on medium to large wall areas without overwhelming smaller domestic elevations.

How is the colour temperature changed?

A switch on the fitting's interior allows you to select 3000K, 4000K or 6000K before the bulkhead is sealed and mounted. The temperature cannot be changed once the fitting is installed without removing the diffuser to access the switch again.

What does IP65 mean for outdoor use?

IP65 means the fitting is fully protected against dust ingress and can withstand water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for exposed walls, patios, driveways and coastal positions where rain, spray or hose-down cleaning is likely.

Can this be used in bathrooms?

The IP65 rating makes it suitable for bathroom zones 1, 2 and 3 (not zone 0, which is the interior of a shower cubicle or bath). It works well as wall lighting in larger bathrooms where a commercial-style fitting is preferred over decorative sconces.

What surface does it mount to?

The bulkhead mounts directly to brick, block, render or timber walls using the fixing lugs on the rear of the housing. The 117mm projection from the wall includes the housing depth and diffuser, so allow clearance above doorways or where head height is limited.
