Description
The LumiLife 100W Essential UFO High Bay is a compact, ceiling-mounted industrial fitting delivering 13,000 lumens at 5700K daylight colour temperature. The housing is a single-piece die-cast aluminium 'UFO' profile with finned heat dissipation and an IP65-rated polycarbonate diffuser protecting the LED array. A built-in potentiometer allows wattage adjustment on site, letting installers tune the output between approximately 50W and 100W depending on ceiling height and space requirements.
Designed for warehouses, workshops, gymnasiums, large retail units and agricultural buildings with ceiling heights between 4m and 10m, the high bay mounts to exposed ceiling joists, purlins or concrete deck via a pendant bracket and steel hanging cable (supplied). The 120-degree beam angle provides broad, even coverage without requiring multiple fittings for typical 6m-8m bay spacing. The 5700K output sits in the daylight range, giving cool-white illumination that supports colour accuracy for quality control, assembly work and general commercial tasks.
The die-cast aluminium body and external cooling fins dissipate heat passively without requiring internal fans, making the fitting silent in operation and suitable for noise-sensitive environments. The IP65 rating protects against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, allowing installation in unheated warehouses, covered loading bays and semi-exposed agricultural buildings. The dimmable driver is compatible with 0-10V and DALI protocols, though the potentiometer adjustment operates independently of external dimming systems. At 3.75kg the fitting requires solid overhead fixing but is light enough for single-person installation on standard ladder access.

Frequently Asked
What ceiling height does this suit?
The 100W output and 120-degree beam angle work best at ceiling heights between 4m and 10m. Below 4m the light may be too intense for comfortable working; above 10m you may need higher-wattage fittings or closer spacing.
How does the wattage adjustment work?
A potentiometer dial on the driver housing allows you to reduce the wattage (and therefore lumen output) between approximately 50W and 100W. This is adjusted manually on site during installation and operates independently of any external dimming system.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
The IP65 rating protects against dust and water jets, making it suitable for covered outdoor areas like loading bays, carports and agricultural buildings. It is not weatherproof for fully exposed outdoor installation without additional shelter.
What spacing is recommended between fittings?
For typical warehouse or workshop layouts with 6m-8m ceiling heights, a spacing of 6m-8m between fittings provides even coverage. Taller ceilings or areas requiring higher lux levels may need closer spacing or higher-wattage fittings.
