Description

The JCB 8.5W LED GLS bulb is a direct replacement for a traditional 60W incandescent, delivering 806 lumens from an E27 (Edison Screw) fitting. Each bulb in this 4-pack uses 8.5W at 3000K warm white, casting a soft yellowish glow suited to living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and table lamps. The bulbs are non-dimmable and rated Energy Rating F under the revised EU energy labelling scale.

The standard GLS (General Lighting Service) shape measures 60mm diameter by 110mm height, matching the profile of a classic incandescent bulb. This ensures compatibility with most lampshades, pendant fittings and enclosed ceiling fixtures designed for traditional bulbs. The E27 base fits standard Edison Screw sockets found in the majority of UK and European domestic lighting.

The 3000K colour temperature produces warm white light with a slight amber cast, avoiding the cooler blue tones of daylight LEDs. This colour temperature sits between soft white (2700K) and neutral white (4000K), making it versatile for rooms where a cosy atmosphere is preferred over clinical brightness. Are these bulbs dimmable?

No. These are non-dimmable LEDs and must not be used with dimmer switches. Installing them on a dimmer circuit can cause flickering, buzzing or early failure. If you need dimmable LEDs, search for JCB dimmable variants on the Niori site.

What traditional wattage do they replace?

These 8.5W LEDs replace 60W incandescent bulbs. The 806 lumens output is equivalent to a traditional 60W filament bulb, using approximately 85% less energy.
