Description
The Eveready 4.7W GU10 LED bulb replaces traditional 50W halogen spots while consuming 90% less power. The bulb produces 320 lumens of cool white 4000K light through a 110° beam angle, giving broad coverage across kitchens, bathrooms, offices and retail spaces. The GU10 twist-and-lock base fits standard UK downlight housings and track light fittings without requiring rewiring or adaptor plates.
Designed for commercial and residential installation, the bulb suits rooms where task lighting or general illumination is needed rather than mood lighting. The 4000K colour temperature sits between neutral white and daylight, providing clarity for food preparation, reading, grooming and detailed work without the harshness of 6000K+ daylight bulbs. The CRI above 80 ensures accurate colour rendering for clothing selection, artwork display and retail product presentation.
The bulb is rated for 10,000 hours at typical residential use patterns, equating to approximately 10 years before replacement. At 50mm diameter and 57mm height, the bulb fits most recessed downlight housings with clearance depth of 60mm or greater. The non-dimmable design is intended for switched-only circuits; attempting to use this bulb on a dimmer circuit will cause flicker or premature failure.

Frequently Asked
Can this bulb be used with a dimmer switch?
No. This bulb is non-dimmable and must only be used on standard switched circuits. Using it with a dimmer will cause flicker, buzzing or premature failure even when the dimmer is set to full brightness.
What's the difference between 4000K and 3000K?
4000K is cool white with a crisp, neutral tone suited to task lighting in kitchens, bathrooms and workspaces. 3000K is warm white with a softer, yellower tone closer to traditional halogen bulbs, better for living rooms and bedrooms. The higher the Kelvin number, the cooler and bluer the light appears.
How does 320 lumens compare to a 50W halogen?
A traditional 50W GU10 halogen produces approximately 400-450 lumens, so this 320-lumen LED is slightly less bright but still provides adequate light for general downlighting when multiple bulbs are used in a room. For closer equivalence to 50W halogen brightness, consider a 5-6W LED producing 400+ lumens.
Will this fit my existing GU10 downlight housing?
Yes, provided the housing has at least 60mm clearance depth behind the trim. The bulb measures 57mm tall and 50mm diameter, matching standard GU10 dimensions. The twist-and-lock base is compatible with all UK GU10 fittings.
