Description

The Energizer adjustable pendant holder is a copper-finish suspension fitting with a 1.2m cable and an E27 (Edison screw) lampholder. The cable length can be shortened during installation to position the lampholder at the height needed above a dining table, kitchen island or work surface, with the excess cable coiled inside the ceiling rose. The copper finish covers the ceiling rose base plate (100mm diameter, 17mm height) and the lampholder body (85mm height, 50mm diameter).

Designed for residential interiors where a bare-bulb or decorative-bulb aesthetic works, the holder pairs with oversized filament bulbs, globe bulbs and vintage-style squirrel-cage bulbs to create a focal point over dining tables, breakfast bars or in hallways. The IP20 rating limits it to dry indoor spaces (Zone 3 only), making it unsuitable for bathrooms or outdoor installations. The fitting operates on 220-240V mains and requires an E27 bulb sold separately, up to the wattage specified by the bulb manufacturer.

The 0.24kg total weight makes the fitting light enough to hang from standard UK ceiling roses without additional support. The Class 1 safety classification requires an earth connection during installation. The copper finish is a plated coating over the metal components rather than solid copper, so it will not patina over time unless exposed to moisture (which it should not be, given the IP20 rating).

What bulb does it take?

The holder takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to the wattage specified by the bulb manufacturer. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with an oversized filament LED bulb between 4-8W for a decorative bare-bulb look.

Can the cable length be adjusted?

Yes. The 1.2m cable can be shortened during installation by coiling the excess inside the ceiling rose, allowing the lampholder to be positioned at the desired drop height. The cable cannot be extended beyond 1.2m.

Is it dimmable?

The holder itself is not dimmable. Dimming depends entirely on the bulb used. If you fit a dimmable LED bulb and connect the circuit to a compatible dimmer switch, the light output can be dimmed.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating and Zone 3 suitability mean the holder is for dry indoor spaces only and cannot be installed in bathrooms or other wet environments.
