Description

The Clasera is a single-arm wall light with a curved bracket in matt black iron, rising from a circular backplate with pressed scrollwork detail and a circular loop at the top. The arm terminates in a candle-style drip pan holding an SES (E14) bulb fitting, which takes candle or flame-tip bulbs up to 60W (sold separately).

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, dining rooms and living room accent walls, the Clasera provides local lighting at eye level or above head height without requiring a ceiling fitting. The 20cm projection from the wall and 32.5cm overall height suit narrow hallways and alcoves where a pendant would interfere with headroom. The matt black finish contrasts with light-painted walls and blends into darker feature walls or exposed brick.

The pressed iron backplate shows a rosette pattern behind the central fixing point, giving the fitting a hand-forged appearance despite its pressed construction. The curved arm and loop detail reference traditional lantern brackets, while the matt coating softens reflections and pairs comfortably with both rustic cottage interiors and industrial loft conversions. At 0.45kg the fitting mounts securely to plasterboard with cavity fixings or directly to masonry.

What bulb does it take?

The Clasera uses an SES (E14 small Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-6W LED candle or flame-tip bulb in warm white (2700K) to match the traditional styling.

Can it be fitted to plasterboard walls?

Yes. At 0.45kg the fitting is light enough to mount on plasterboard using cavity fixings or plasterboard anchors rated for at least 5kg. For solid walls, use standard wall plugs and screws.

What height should it be mounted?

In hallways and beside doorways, 1.5-1.7m from floor level to the centre of the backplate works well, placing the light at or slightly above head height. In bedrooms flanking a bed, 1.2-1.4m suits reading while sitting up.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

The Clasera carries no IP rating and is not rated for bathroom zones. It is suitable for hallways, bedrooms, dining rooms and living rooms only.
