Brisa 4 Light Glass Pendant Light - Smoked Black

The Brisa is a 48cm teardrop-shaped glass pendant light moulded from smoked grey glass, with four E27 bulb fittings clustered at the centre of the shade on a shared brass core. A polished chrome ceiling canopy suspends the shade on a single black braided cable, with the cable and bulb cluster visible through the translucent smoked glass when viewed from the side.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.5m or above, the Brisa combines ambient lighting from the diffused glass with decorative interest from the exposed bulb cluster. The 60cm total drop (shade plus suspension) positions the widest part of the teardrop 700-900mm above a table surface depending on cable adjustment during installation. The 6.3kg weight and 48cm diameter suit islands and tables between 1.4m and 2m in length.

The smoked glass finish softens light output and hides dust on the interior surface, while the translucency allows the four bulbs to create a layered glow when lit. The glass is hand-blown, so minor tonal variation and small air bubbles within the glass are normal. The polished chrome canopy and fittings contrast with the smoked shade, giving the fitting a dual-tone character that pairs with both warm metallics and cooler greys in contemporary interiors.

Each of the four E27 fittings accepts bulbs up to 40W, giving flexibility to choose LED filament bulbs for a vintage look or standard LED for higher output. Bulbs are sold separately. The Brisa is supplied from Impex Lighting, a European manufacturer with a focus on glass and metal decorative fittings.

What bulbs does it take?

The Brisa takes four E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, each up to 40W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 6-8W LED filament bulbs in warm white (2700K) to create a vintage-style glow visible through the smoked glass.

Is the pendant dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulbs chosen. If you fit dimmable LED or halogen E27 bulbs and connect the pendant to a compatible dimmer switch, the light output can be controlled. The fitting itself has no built-in dimming restriction.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 60cm total drop (shade plus cable suspension) works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.5m or above when hung over a dining table or island. For lower ceilings, the cable can be shortened during installation, though this reduces the visual impact of the teardrop silhouette.

Does the smoked glass vary between pieces?

Yes. The glass is hand-blown, so tonal variation, minor air bubbles and slight differences in the smoke density are normal between individual pendants. This is a characteristic of artisan glasswork, not a defect.
