Description

The Streamlight is a 6-light crystal chandelier built around a central antique nickel frame that radiates curved arms outward, each supporting multiple tiers of suspended Strass crystal droplets and strands. The 47cm diameter and 64cm height create a cascading waterfall form when viewed from the side, with the crystal strands forming a dense curtain that conceals much of the metalwork once lit. Six BC bulb fittings sit within the crystal tiers, each rated to 40W maximum.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and stairwells with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Streamlight provides ambient light diffused through multiple layers of faceted crystal. The multi-tier drop creates movement and texture as air currents shift the crystal strands slightly, catching reflections from surrounding walls and furniture. The fitting is suspended on a matching antique nickel chain that allows the drop height to be adjusted during installation.

The antique nickel finish has a soft pewter tone with low reflectivity, which recedes visually once the bulbs are lit and the crystal takes centre stage. The Strass crystal droplets are cut with multiple facets that throw prismatic light across ceilings and walls when paired with clear or warm-white filament bulbs. At 7kg the chandelier requires a ceiling rose rated for the weight and a reinforced fixing point in the ceiling void above plasterboard installations.

What bulb type does it take?

The Streamlight uses six BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulbs, each rated to a maximum of 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this chandelier with warm-white filament LED bulbs at 4-6W and 2700K for a vintage-style glow through the crystal.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 64cm body height plus chain drop means the chandelier works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. For dining tables the bottom tier typically sits 700-800mm above the table surface, requiring a ceiling height of approximately 3m to accommodate the full drop comfortably.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool before cleaning. Wipe individual crystal droplets with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For deeper cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used on the crystal, but avoid soaking the metal frame or electrical components. Do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners on Strass crystal.

Does it need reinforced ceiling fixings?

At 7kg the chandelier requires a ceiling rose rated for the weight and a solid fixing point. In plasterboard ceiling installations, fix into a ceiling joist or use a spreader plate in the void above the plasterboard to distribute the load. Consult a qualified electrician if unsure about ceiling load capacity.
