Description

The Kielen is a three-tier crystal chandelier built on a circular antique brass frame, measuring 20cm in both diameter and drop height. Three graduated tiers of faceted crystal droplets hang from the brass rings, with the largest tier at the top stepping down to a smaller tier at the base. A single BC (B22 bayonet) bulb fitting sits within the crystal layers, with the light refracting through the faceted surfaces to create ambient glow and movement.

Designed for spaces where a traditional chandelier would overwhelm—hallways, dressing rooms, bedrooms, landings, and rooms with ceiling heights under 2.4m—the Kielen provides the visual presence of a chandelier in a compact 20cm footprint. The small scale also makes it suitable for repetition along a corridor or in matching pairs either side of a bed. The suspension chain allows adjustment during installation to suit different ceiling heights.

The antique brass frame has a darker, slightly tarnished finish that sits between polished brass and bronze, pairing well with traditional and Art Deco interiors, darker wood tones, and warm colour schemes. Each tier holds multiple strands of crystal droplets on brass pins, with the droplets cut to a faceted octagonal profile that catches light from multiple angles. The chandelier accepts any BC bulb up to 100W, allowing flexibility between warm-white LED for ambient light or a vintage filament bulb for decorative effect.

What bulb does it take?

The Kielen takes a BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulb up to 100W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W or a decorative vintage filament bulb for visible glow through the crystal.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 20cm drop makes the Kielen suitable for lower ceilings from 2.2m upwards. The suspension chain is adjustable during installation, allowing the chandelier to be raised or lowered to suit the room height.

Can it be used in multiples?

Yes. The compact 20cm diameter makes the Kielen ideal for repetition along hallways or landings, or as matching pairs either side of a bed or dressing table. The small scale prevents visual clutter when multiple units are installed in proximity.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off power at the mains before cleaning. Wipe each crystal droplet individually with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the brass frame or wiring components.
