Description

The Vistara is a 700mm linear island chandelier that suspends faceted crystal droplets inside a clear glass cylinder, capped at each end with polished chrome. Seven G4 bulb fittings run along the centre line of the tube, each bulb surrounded by crystal that refracts and multiplies the light when switched on. The polished chrome canopy and suspension cables are visible above the glass, giving the fitting a clean architectural presence.

Designed for positioning over kitchen islands, dining tables and breakfast bars in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Vistara provides task and ambient light across a 2-3m surface length. The 145cm total drop includes the suspension cables, which are adjustable during installation to suit different ceiling heights and table-to-pendant distances. The clear glass shell allows light to escape horizontally as well as downwards, so the fitting acts as both functional task light and decorative feature when viewed from the side.

The crystal droplets inside the glass tube are precision-cut to catch light at multiple angles, creating scattered highlights across nearby walls and ceilings when the bulbs are on. The glass cylinder itself is smooth and requires only occasional cleaning with a damp microfibre cloth, the crystal is protected inside the tube and does not accumulate dust in the same way as exposed crystal chandeliers. The 5kg weight requires a ceiling rose capable of supporting the load, and the polished chrome finish pairs with both cool-toned and warm-toned interiors.

What bulbs does the Vistara take?

The fitting takes seven G4 capsule bulbs, each up to 10W. G4 bulbs are available in both LED and halogen variants. LED G4s are recommended for lower running temperatures and longer lifespan. Bulbs are sold separately.

How is the suspension height adjusted?

The suspension cables are adjustable during installation, allowing the chandelier to be set at the required height above a table or worktop. For kitchen islands and dining tables, a clearance of 700-900mm between the bottom of the glass tube and the surface is typical.

Can the glass cylinder be cleaned?

Yes. The outer surface of the glass cylinder can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth. The crystal inside the tube is protected from dust accumulation and does not require frequent cleaning. Switch off and allow bulbs to cool before cleaning.

What ceiling rose does it require?

The Vistara weighs 5kg and requires a ceiling rose or mounting point rated for at least that load. Most modern ceiling roses in the UK are rated to 5kg or above, but older plaster roses may need reinforcement or replacement before installation.
