Via Urbana LED Recessed Brick Light 3W 4000K - White

The Via Urbana is a 70mm square recessed LED brick light with an integrated 3W LED producing 4000K neutral white light through a keyhole aperture. The white-finished aluminium faceplate sits flush with the wall surface, and the light projects downward through the recessed opening to illuminate the wall or ground directly below.

Designed for outdoor installation at step risers, pathway edges, garden retaining walls and building perimeters, the fitting requires a standard 80mm deep mounting box (included) that sits within the masonry. The IP54 rating provides protection against dust ingress and water spray from any direction, making it suitable for exposed positions on external walls. The keyhole aperture shape directs light downward in a defined beam pattern rather than scattering it across the wall, giving clearer definition to step edges and path boundaries after dark.

The aluminium construction resists corrosion in coastal and damp environments, and the white powder-coated finish maintains colour stability under UV exposure. The 3W LED draws minimal power compared to halogen equivalents and runs at a lower operating temperature, reducing heat transfer into the masonry. The 4000K colour temperature produces a neutral white that reads closer to daylight than warm-white LEDs, making it easier to distinguish surface textures and changes in ground level at night.

What depth of wall cavity is needed for installation?

The included mounting box requires a minimum 80mm cavity depth behind the finished wall surface. The faceplate then sits flush with the wall when fitted.

Can this be installed in a bathroom or shower area?

The IP54 rating protects against water spray from any direction, but not direct jets or submersion. It is suitable for outdoor exposed walls and covered outdoor areas, but not for shower zones or areas subject to high-pressure water cleaning.

Is the LED replaceable?

The LED is integrated into the fitting and not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 30,000 hours of operation, which equates to around 10-12 years of typical outdoor use.

What colour temperature is 4000K?

4000K is neutral white, sitting between warm white (2700K-3000K) and cool white (5000K+). It produces a clean, daylight-similar light that makes it easier to see surface detail and ground-level changes at night compared to warmer tones.
