Description

The Veloxis is a battery-powered outdoor floor lamp with a slender brown powder-coated metal column and rectangular base, housing an integrated 1.5W LED emitting warm 3000K light through an acrylic diffuser at the top. A built-in touch switch on the lamp body controls on/off and dimming functions without needing external wiring or mains power.

Designed for patios, balconies, terraces and garden seating areas, the Veloxis provides ambient lighting where running mains cable is impractical or undesirable. The IP54 rating protects against water splashes and dust ingress, making it suitable for outdoor use in most UK weather conditions except submersion or prolonged heavy rain. The rechargeable battery charges fully in 6 hours via a USB charging port concealed in the base, and runtime varies with dimming level — typically 6-12 hours at full brightness, longer when dimmed.

The lamp stands approximately 1.2m tall with a 140mm square footprint, giving it stability on paving, decking and hard outdoor surfaces without requiring ground fixings. The brown finish is a matte powder coat over metal, resistant to UV fade and corrosion better than painted finishes. The acrylic diffuser spreads light downward and outward in a soft cone rather than directing it in one beam, making the Veloxis more suited to ambient background lighting than task illumination.

How long does the battery last on a full charge?

Runtime depends on the dimming level selected. At full brightness the Veloxis typically runs for 6-8 hours. Dimmed to 50% or lower, runtime extends to 10-14 hours. Charging from empty takes approximately 6 hours via the USB port in the base.

Can it be left outside all year?

The IP54 rating protects against rain splashes and dust, so the lamp can remain outdoors during typical UK weather. However, it is not submersion-proof, and prolonged exposure to freezing temperatures may reduce battery lifespan. Bringing it under cover or indoors during winter months will extend the battery life.

How is the lamp dimmed?

The integrated touch switch on the lamp body cycles through brightness levels. Tap once to turn on at full brightness, tap again to dim, tap further to cycle through lower levels, and hold to turn off. No external dimmer or app is required.

What surface types is it stable on?

The 140mm square base provides stability on flat surfaces such as paving slabs, decking, tiled patios and concrete. On soft ground, gravel or grass, the base may sink slightly and reduce stability. The lamp is not weighted, so high winds may topple it if placed in exposed positions.
