Description
The Streamlight is a 1.6m tall crystal floor lamp built around a slender polished gold column supporting three tiers of arched metal arms. Each tier holds a fountain of cut Strass crystal droplets cascading from curved brass-tone ribs, with three BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulb fittings positioned within the central core. The crystals act as prisms, refracting and scattering light across the vertical cascade when the bulbs are lit.
Designed for lounges, entrance halls and reading corners where ceiling height allows the full 1.6m presence, the lamp sits on a 40cm diameter circular base that gives stability on rugs and bare floors. The three 40W bulb fittings (bulbs sold separately) provide enough combined light to function as ambient room lighting in smaller spaces, or as accent lighting in larger open-plan areas. The vertical profile works beside sofas, armchairs, or as a standalone feature in wide corners where horizontal furniture would crowd the space.
The polished gold frame gives a warm metallic accent that pairs with traditional gilt mirrors, brass door furniture and warm-toned wood finishes. The Strass crystal is harder and more brilliant than standard glass, producing sharper refraction and more defined spectral colours when backlit. At 11kg the lamp has substantial weight once assembled, reducing the risk of tipping when placed on level floors. The three-tier configuration distributes light vertically rather than concentrating it at a single height, making the lamp useful for illuminating tall bookcases or creating layered ambient light in double-height entrance halls.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The lamp takes three BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K to mimic the glow of traditional crystal chandeliers without the heat output of halogen.
Is it suitable for low ceilings?
At 1.6m tall the lamp is best suited to rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In lower-ceilinged rooms the lamp can overwhelm the vertical space and bring the crystal tiers too close to eye level when standing.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Switch off and allow bulbs to cool before cleaning. Remove loose dust with a soft brush or dry microfibre cloth. For deeper cleaning, individual crystal droplets can be wiped with a barely-damp cloth and distilled water, then dried immediately to prevent water spots. Avoid sprays or polishes that leave residue.
Does it require assembly?
Yes. The lamp arrives flat-packed and requires assembly of the column sections, attachment of the arched arms and hanging of the individual crystal droplets. Assembly typically takes 30-45 minutes and is best done by two people due to the height and weight of the finished piece.
