Streamlight 1 Light Strass Crystal Chandelier - Nickel

The Streamlight is a 35cm-diameter crystal chandelier built around a single BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulb fitting, suspended beneath a nickel-finished canopy and cage. Strass crystal droplets cascade from curved metal arms in a fountain-like arrangement, forming a dense, narrow cone approximately 50cm tall from canopy to the lowest crystal point.

Designed for hallways, compact stairwells, cloakrooms and low-ceilinged bedrooms where a traditional multi-light chandelier would overwhelm the space, the Streamlight delivers the prism refraction and movement of a larger fitting in a slimmed-down format. The single-bulb design keeps installation simple on standard UK ceiling roses, and the 3kg weight fits typical plasterboard fixings with appropriate cavity anchor points. The narrow 35cm footprint suits corridors as narrow as 900mm without protruding into the walkway.

The nickel finish on the metalwork provides a cooler, more contemporary alternative to brass or bronze while retaining a traditional chandelier silhouette. The Strass crystal droplets are cut with multiple facets that throw prismatic light across walls and ceilings when the bulb is lit, adding movement to otherwise static hallways or entryways. Multiple Streamlight fittings installed in sequence down a long corridor create a repeating visual rhythm without the wiring complexity of a multi-point chandelier.

What bulb does it take?

The Streamlight takes a single BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulb up to 60W. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED candle bulb between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to mimic traditional chandelier lighting. Bulbs are sold separately.

What ceiling height is needed?

The fitting is 50cm tall from canopy to the lowest crystal droplet. For hallways and entryways, a minimum ceiling height of 2.2m is recommended to allow 1.7m clear headroom beneath the crystals. The compact diameter suits low ceilings better than wider chandeliers.

Is the nickel finish polished or brushed?

The nickel finish on the Streamlight frame is polished, giving a reflective surface that catches light alongside the crystal droplets. This differs from brushed or satin nickel, which has a softer, less reflective appearance.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Individual Strass droplets can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth while the fitting is switched off and cool. For deeper cleaning, remove droplets one at a time, wipe with a barely-damp cloth, dry immediately and re-hang. Do not spray the fitting directly or use chemical cleaners on the crystal.
