Description
The Solenia is a nickel-plated LED floor lamp with a single 4.5W integrated LED housed in an adjustable conical head that rotates and tilts on a horizontal arm. The lamp stands on a circular weighted base with a vertical stem approximately 1.2m tall, placing the light source at comfortable reading height when directed downwards or at upper-wall height when angled upwards.
Designed for reading corners, beside armchairs, and home office desks where directed task lighting is needed without ceiling fittings, the Solenia provides 3000K warm-white light through its adjustable head. The horizontal arm extends 450mm from the vertical stem, allowing the lamp to reach over the edge of a chair or the corner of a desk without the base sitting directly behind. The head rotates through approximately 180 degrees and tilts through 90 degrees, so light can be aimed at a book, a laptop keyboard, or up onto a wall as indirect wash light.
The nickel finish is polished rather than brushed, giving a reflective surface that catches light in contemporary and mid-century interiors. The black PVC cable runs down the inside of the stem and exits near the base, with an integrated inline rocker switch positioned approximately 300mm from the floor for easy on/off control without bending. The weighted base provides stability on bare floors and short-pile rugs without needing to be clamped or screwed down. The lamp carries an IP20 rating, making it suitable for dry indoor use only.

Frequently Asked
Is the LED replaceable?
The 4.5W LED is integrated into the lamp head and is not user-replaceable. Ideal Lux rates the LED module for approximately 30,000 hours of use, which equates to around 15-20 years of typical residential use at 4-5 hours per day.
How is the head adjusted?
The conical head rotates on the horizontal arm through approximately 180 degrees and tilts through 90 degrees. Adjustment is by hand — the joints are friction-fit and hold position once set, with no screws or locking mechanisms needed.
What's the total height?
The vertical stem height is not listed in the specification table, but from the image the lamp appears to stand approximately 1.2m tall from base to the centre of the horizontal arm, placing the head at typical reading height when directed downwards.
Is it suitable for use next to a bathtub or in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means the lamp is only suitable for dry indoor environments and should not be used in bathrooms, wet rooms, or any space where water spray or condensation is present.
