Description

The Selya is an 800mm diameter chandelier built around eight curved arms radiating from a central polished chrome column, each arm terminating in a fluted clear glass shade housing an SES candle bulb fitting. The arms sweep outward and upward in symmetrical pairs, forming a sculptural silhouette that sits 710mm from ceiling rose to lowest point when hung on the standard chain supplied.

Designed for formal dining rooms, double-height entrance halls and stairwell voids with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Selya provides ambient and decorative light across a wide diameter without directing focused task light downward. The eight SES fittings accept candle-shaped bulbs up to 60W each (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose filament-style LED bulbs for a vintage look or frosted LED for diffused illumination. The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding finishes and maximises light throw in rooms with mirrors or other metallic accents.

The chandelier frame uses hand-worked Czech glass elements — clear fluted shades at each arm tip, decorative scrolls and spheres along the central column — all mouth-blown and individually shaped. The total weight of 10kg requires a secure ceiling fixing rated for the load; professional installation is recommended. The polished chrome surface is wiped clean with a dry microfibre cloth; the glass shades unscrew for occasional cleaning or bulb replacement.
