Description

The Queenlight is a 19-light chandelier built around a central gold-finished glass column from which three tiers of curved glass arms radiate, each supporting cascading Czech crystal droplets and beaded strands. The chandelier measures 94cm in diameter and 82cm in height, with 19 SES (E14) candle bulb fittings distributed across the upper, middle and lower tiers. Each glass arm is finished in a warm gold tone that reflects through the clear crystal, creating depth when lit.

Designed for entrance halls with ceiling heights of 3m or above, large dining rooms and double-height living spaces, the Queenlight requires a reinforced ceiling rose capable of supporting 14.5kg. The three-tier arrangement places six lights on the upper tier, six on the middle tier, and seven on the lower tier, with the central column housing a single top-mounted bulb. The suspension height is adjustable during installation via the chain, typically allowing the chandelier to hang 600-900mm below the ceiling fixing point depending on room scale.

Each Czech crystal droplet is individually cut and hung on brass wiring looped through the glass arms, so the crystal configuration can shift slightly during installation or cleaning. The gold finish on the glass arms is applied as a metallic coating over clear moulded glass, visible as a warm amber-gold tone when unlit and as a richer gold when light passes through from the bulbs. The 94cm spread makes the chandelier suitable for dining tables of 2-2.8m length or entrance halls of 4-5m square floor area.

The crystal used is pressed Czech glass crystal rather than lead crystal, which means it has a slightly different refractive index but retains good light dispersion and clarity. The beaded strands connecting each tier are strung on fine-gauge wire and can be adjusted for symmetry during final fitting. Bulbs are sold separately — most installations use 19 x 6-8W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K to balance light output with running cost.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Each crystal droplet can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth while the chandelier is switched off and cool. For deeper cleaning, individual droplets can be unhooked from the brass wire loops, washed in lukewarm water with a drop of washing-up liquid, rinsed, dried and re-hung. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the chandelier.
