Description
The Monterey is a 180cm-tall floor standing mirror carved from solid mango wood with a dark stain finish. The frame holds two mirror panels side by side — one with a rounded arch top, one with a long pill-shaped outline — creating an Art Deco-inspired silhouette. The wood frame is 108cm wide and weighs 46.55kg, making this a substantial piece that requires two people to move and position.
Designed as a leaner mirror for bedrooms, dressing rooms and hallways with sufficient wall space to support its width, the Monterey sits at a slight backward angle when resting against a wall, giving a full-length view from approximately 1.5m distance. The dual-panel design means you see yourself in both mirrors simultaneously when standing centred in front of the frame. An anti-tipping kit is included and must be installed to anchor the mirror securely to the wall, preventing toppling.
The mango wood shows natural grain variation and tonal shifts under the dark stain, giving each frame a slightly different appearance depending on the wood section used. The stain brings out amber and chocolate tones in the grain without obscuring the wood texture completely. The frame depth of 6cm provides enough clearance when leaned against a skirting board to rest stably without the mirror edge touching the wall surface.
Due to the weight and size, the Monterey should only be moved and installed by two people with appropriate lifting technique. Wall-mounting is not recommended — the mirror is designed for floor-standing or leaning installation only, with the anti-tipping kit anchoring the top of the frame to the wall to prevent it falling forward.

Frequently Asked
Can the Monterey be wall-mounted?
No. At 46.55kg the mirror is too heavy for safe wall-mounting. It is designed to lean against a wall at floor level, with the included anti-tipping kit anchoring the top of the frame to prevent it toppling forward.
How much wall space is needed?
The frame is 108cm wide, so you need a clear wall section of at least 120cm width to accommodate the mirror comfortably. The 180cm height suits rooms with standard 2.4m ceilings or higher.
Does the wood finish vary between mirrors?
Yes. Each frame is cut from solid mango wood, so the grain pattern, tonal variation and amber streaks differ between individual pieces. The dark stain enhances the natural grain rather than covering it completely.
How is the mirror cleaned?
Wipe the mirror glass with standard glass cleaner and a microfibre cloth. For the wood frame, use a dry or barely-damp cloth to remove dust — avoid spraying wood polish or water directly onto the frame, as mango wood can absorb moisture and swell.
