Description

The Luxa is a 162cm floor lamp built around a 35cm golden-toned glass globe mounted on a matt black metal stem with a circular base. The globe houses a single E14 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately) and the semi-transparent glass diffuses light in warm amber tones while allowing the bulb filament to show through when lit.

Designed for reading corners, beside lounge seating and in hallways where the compact 35cm diameter footprint fits without blocking circulation, the Luxa provides task and ambient light depending on bulb choice. The 162cm height positions the globe at shoulder height when standing, or above head height when seated, keeping direct glare out of eye line. The matt black finish on the stem and base contrasts with the warm glass tone and pairs well with industrial, contemporary and mid-century interiors that use mixed materials.

The glass globe weighs the majority of the 8.7kg total, giving stability on carpets and hard floors without needing to be weighted separately. The golden tone in the glass comes from a metallic coating on the inside of the globe that reflects light back through the glass, amplifying the warm colour. The E14 fitting accepts candle-style LED bulbs up to 6W, with 2700K warm-white LEDs producing the richest amber glow through the gold-toned glass.

The lamp takes a single E14 candle-style bulb up to 6W. Bulbs are sold separately. A 2700K warm-white LED candle bulb will produce the richest amber glow through the golden-toned glass.
