Description

The Lustria is an 8-light industrial pendant from Ideal Lux, built around a central column that radiates eight matt black metal arms across a 920mm diameter. Each arm terminates in an exposed E27 bulb fitting with a black metal sleeve, creating an open-frame structure that shows the full filament of whatever bulb you choose to fit (bulbs sold separately).

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Lustria suits dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas where multiple light sources spread across a wide footprint provide better coverage than a single-point pendant. The 1600mm cable is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to be set 700-900mm above a dining surface or higher as ambient lighting. The matt black metal construction weighs approximately 3.5kg, requiring a ceiling fixing capable of supporting that load plus the bulbs.

The eight arms radiate asymmetrically from the central column rather than forming a perfect symmetrical pattern, giving the fitting a slightly industrial, workshop-derived character. This asymmetry is visible when the pendant is lit and becomes a design feature rather than a defect. The matt black finish absorbs rather than reflects light, so the fitting itself recedes into shadow when the bulbs are on, leaving the light sources as the visible elements. Pairing the Lustria with warm-white filament-style LED bulbs (2200K-2700K) reinforces the industrial aesthetic, while clear or amber glass bulbs show the filament detail more clearly.

The IP20 rating limits the Lustria to dry interior locations — it is not suitable for bathrooms, covered outdoor areas or anywhere with condensation risk. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer (dimmer and bulbs sold separately).
