Description

The Facet is a 46cm-diameter chandelier built from twelve tiers of precision-cut lead crystal arranged around a polished chrome frame. Each tier holds multiple crystal prisms that hang in overlapping layers, creating a dense cascade of faceted glass. The chandelier takes twelve SES (E14) bulbs of up to 40W each, with the light refracting through the layered crystal to produce a mix of direct downlight and scattered prismatic reflections.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and formal living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Facet provides both functional overhead light and a decorative focal point. The 46cm height and width suit rooms measuring 4m by 4m or larger, where the scale of the fixture can be seen in full without overwhelming the space. The 10kg weight requires a ceiling joist or solid backing and a secure chain or rod suspension rated to the load.

The polished chrome finish on the frame complements both warm-toned interiors with brass and gold accents, and cooler palettes dominated by greys, blacks and silvers. The lead crystal prisms are cut with multiple facets that catch and redirect ambient daylight during the day, then amplify the output from the twelve bulbs once switched on. Each tier of crystal is individually wired to the frame, so if a bulb fails the rest of the chandelier continues to function.

Lead crystal has a higher refractive index than standard glass, which means it bends light more sharply and produces the rainbow-edge sparkle associated with traditional chandeliers. The chrome frame is electroplated steel, offering durability and a mirror-like reflective surface that blends into the crystal when viewed from below.
