Elara 3 Light Glass Linear Pendant - Gold & Black

The Elara is a 3-light linear pendant with three dome-shaped gold-toned glass shades suspended from a matt black bar frame. Each shade houses an E27 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately) and the glass itself is a translucent amber-gold that casts warm downlight through the dome while diffusing glare. The black bar canopy mounts flush to the ceiling and the three shades hang at equal spacing along the bar's length.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and breakfast bars between 1.2m and 1.8m long, the linear format distributes task light across the worktop or table surface without needing multiple individual fittings. The 26cm shade height allows the pendant to be positioned 650-750mm above a worktop or 700-800mm above a dining table in rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights. The black bar and cable runs contrast with the warm gold glass, anchoring the fitting visually without dominating the space.

Each glass shade weighs approximately 1kg and the total fitting weight of 3.2kg requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or using suitable cavity fixings. The linear spacing of the three shades works best over surfaces between 1.2m and 1.8m long. For longer islands or tables, consider using two Elara pendants in parallel or selecting a 4-light or 5-light linear fitting.

What bulbs are recommended?

The E27 fittings accept any standard Edison screw bulb up to 40W. For kitchen task lighting, a warm-white LED (2700K-3000K, 6-8W equivalent to 40-60W halogen) is typical. For dining use, a filament-style LED bulb creates a warmer aesthetic through the gold glass.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

The cable length is adjustable during installation. Standard practice is to position the shades 650-750mm above a worktop or 700-800mm above a dining table, which works in rooms with 2.4m or higher ceilings.

How is the fitting cleaned?

Wipe the glass shades with a microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, use a glass cleaner suitable for tinted or coloured glass. The matt black bar can be dusted with a dry cloth or wiped with a barely-damp microfibre if needed.
