Description

The Claria is a 60cm circular LED pendant light built from a continuous loop of matt black metal housing an integrated 33W LED strip. The LED runs along the inner edge of the ring, casting warm 3000K light downward and inward, with some light escaping outward to create a soft halo effect on the ceiling above.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and larger sitting rooms where a single central pendant provides both ambient and task light, the Claria hangs from a 660mm adjustable cable that allows the ring to be positioned between 500mm and 900mm above a surface. The 60cm diameter suits tables of 1.2-1.8m length without overwhelming smaller rooms. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor spaces.

The matt black finish absorbs rather than reflects light, so the ring itself remains visually recessive during the day and becomes more prominent when the LED is lit. The metal frame is welded into a continuous circle with no visible joins, giving a clean geometric profile. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but rated for approximately 30,000 hours of use at typical domestic duty cycles, equivalent to around 15 years at 5-6 hours per day.

Is the Claria dimmable?

No. The integrated 33W LED operates at full output only and is not compatible with dimmer switches. Attempting to install the fitting on a dimmed circuit may cause flickering or damage to the driver.

Can the LED be replaced when it fails?

The LED is integrated into the metal frame and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 30,000 hours, which translates to around 15 years of typical domestic use at 5-6 hours per day. Ideal Lux provides a 5-year warranty covering LED failure during that period.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 660mm drop is adjustable during installation. For use above a dining table or kitchen island, the pendant typically hangs 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The cable can be shortened for lower ceilings.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting provides protection against solid objects larger than 12.5mm but no protection against water ingress. It must only be installed in dry indoor spaces away from moisture.
