Description

The Bosca is a 137mm recessed LED brick light with a white metal faceplate, angled internal reflector and integrated 5W 3000K LED. The fitting sits flush into a wall cavity with only the rectangular aperture visible from the outside, casting warm downward light across pathways, steps or low-level garden walls without protruding into the walking line.

Designed for outdoor installation in brickwork, rendered walls and paving, the Bosca carries an IP65 rating protecting the internal LED module and driver from rain, hose spray and airborne dust. The 100-240V wide-voltage driver accepts standard UK mains and most international supplies without additional transformers. The recessed format keeps the light source shielded from direct view, reducing glare for anyone walking past while directing the 3000K output onto the ground or adjacent wall surface.

The white powder-coated metal faceplate measures 137mm x 54mm and installs into a cut-out cavity behind the finished wall surface, with the rear housing and driver box sitting within the wall void. The angled reflector inside the aperture channels light downward and forward, providing functional path lighting without uplighting into windows or across neighbouring properties. The 5W LED output suits installations where soft wayfinding light is needed rather than high-intensity security floodlighting.

The Bosca requires a cavity depth behind the finished wall surface to house the rear LED module and driver. The exact depth is specified in the installation manual linked in the Downloads section above. Typical brick light installations need 60-80mm clear depth behind the aperture.

Can this be installed in paving or decking?

The Bosca is designed for vertical wall installation, not ground recessing. The IP65 rating protects against rain and spray from the front face, but the fitting is not rated for submersion or installation where water can pool around the rear housing.

Is the LED replaceable?

The 5W LED module is integrated into the fitting and not user-replaceable. LED lifespan is typically 25,000-30,000 hours at 3000K, which equates to approximately 8-10 years of typical evening-only outdoor use.

What colour is the light output?

The integrated LED produces 3000K warm white light, similar in tone to a traditional halogen bulb. This warmer colour temperature is commonly chosen for residential outdoor lighting as it sits comfortably alongside indoor lighting visible through windows and doors.
