Biscotti 4 Beam LED Recessed Outdoor Light - Black IP65

The Biscotti is a 62mm diameter recessed outdoor light housing four directional LED beams within a black aluminium cylinder. Each beam projects warm 3000K light from a central integrated 3W LED, creating a four-point star pattern on surrounding surfaces. The fitting sits flush with the mounting surface and carries an IP65 rating for dust-tight and water-jet protection, plus an IK08 impact rating for resistance to mechanical damage.

Designed for installation in walls, decking, paving and driveways, the Biscotti marks paths, highlights garden features and adds accent lighting to building facades. The 58mm installation depth fits standard external cavity walls and reinforced paving structures. The four-beam configuration provides wider coverage than single-beam uplighters while keeping the fitting compact enough to install in tight spacing along pathways or steps. The AC 100-240V wide-voltage input allows the light to operate across international mains supplies without requiring a separate transformer.

The black powder-coated aluminium housing resists corrosion in coastal and urban environments. The directional beams are fixed at installation, so positioning the fitting determines where light falls — rotation during fitting allows the four beams to be aligned with the geometry of the surrounding space. The warm 3000K colour temperature sits between neutral white task lighting and the amber tones of traditional outdoor lanterns, giving good visibility without the clinical tone of cooler LEDs.

What does IP65 mean for outdoor use?

IP65 certifies the fitting as dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for exposed outdoor positions including driveways, garden walls and decking where it will encounter rain, hose-down and dust accumulation. It is not rated for submersion.

Can the beams be angled during installation?

The four beams are fixed within the housing and cannot be individually angled. The entire fitting can be rotated during installation to align the beam pattern with paths, steps or architectural features before the housing is secured in place.

What installation depth is required?

The fitting requires a minimum 58mm recess depth plus space behind for cable connections. For wall installations this typically means a cavity wall or rendered blockwork. For floor installations the fitting needs a reinforced recess in paving or decking deep enough to accommodate the full cylinder plus wiring access.

Is the LED replaceable?

The 3W LED is integrated into the housing and is not user-replaceable. Maytoni rates the LED module for approximately 30,000 hours of operation, which equates to around 10 years at 8 hours per night. The entire fitting would need replacing if the LED fails outside the warranty period.
