The black aluminium body mounts to the magnetic track without screws or clips, running on DC 48V supplied through the track itself. The head tilts and rotates on the mounting point, allowing the linear beam to be directed along walls, across artwork, or down onto retail displays and work surfaces.

DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) control provides precise dimming and colour temperature adjustment through compatible DALI control systems, allowing the light to shift from warm white at 2700K for hospitality and residential evening use to cool daylight at 6000K for task lighting in offices, galleries and retail. The matte diffuser along the 22.1cm length spreads the output evenly without visible LED hotspots, producing a continuous line of light rather than discrete points. Track lights in this range can be mixed on the same Exility track run, combining different wattages and beam angles to layer accent and ambient lighting.

The aluminium construction keeps the fitting lightweight at under 200g while the black powder-coated finish hides fingerprints and dust better than polished metals in high-traffic commercial installations. What is DALI control and do I need a special system?

DALI is a digital lighting control protocol that allows precise dimming and colour temperature adjustment through compatible controllers. You need a DALI control system (separate purchase) to operate the CCT and dimming functions. Without DALI control, the light will not function.

Is this compatible with standard 240V track systems?

No. The Basis Rot is designed specifically for Maytoni's magnetic Exility track system, which runs on DC 48V. It cannot be fitted to standard 240V three-circuit track rails or other manufacturers' magnetic tracks without compatibility verification.

Can the colour temperature be changed manually or does it require automation?

Colour temperature adjustment requires a DALI controller. This can be a wall-mounted panel, a handheld remote, or integrated into a building management system. Manual switches and dimmers are not compatible with DALI CCT control.
