Description

The Alvera is a 60cm rectangular island chandelier built around a polished chrome frame supporting two tiers of vertical-cut crystal prisms with a cascade of faceted crystal drops beneath. Eight G9 bulb fittings sit behind the upper tier of crystal, casting light through the prisms and drops to create refracted patterns across ceilings and walls when lit.

Designed for linear applications over dining tables and kitchen islands, the 60cm length works over surfaces between 140-180cm wide. The chandelier suspends from a rectangular chrome canopy on four steel cables, giving it an 18cm body depth with adjustable drop height on installation. The weight of 9.6kg requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or ceiling rose rated for the load, not just plasterboard fixings.

The combination of geometric chrome structure and cut crystal gives the Alvera a contemporary interpretation of traditional chandelier design, pairing better with modern and transitional interiors than period rooms. How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool fully before cleaning. Wipe individual crystal prisms and drops with a dry microfibre cloth. For heavier dust or marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water. Avoid spraying cleaning products directly onto the chrome or crystal — residue can attract more dust.
