The Aeron is a 295mm spherical pendant light built from fine white wire mesh formed into a geometric cage around a central E27 bulb fitting. The mesh structure allows light to pass through in all directions while casting intricate diamond-pattern shadows across surrounding walls and ceilings when lit. The pendant hangs on a 2000mm white cable adjustable during installation.

Designed for installation over kitchen islands, dining tables, and in hallways or bedrooms where both direct task light and decorative shadow play are wanted, the Aeron works well in groups of two or three spaced 600-800mm apart over a long dining table. The 295mm diameter sits comfortably in rooms with 2.4m or higher ceilings without dominating smaller spaces. The white powder-coated aluminium and steel frame weighs less than comparable solid metal shades, reducing strain on ceiling fixings.

The open mesh construction means the bulb choice directly affects the character of the light output. A clear LED filament bulb exposes the bulb structure inside the cage and creates sharper shadow edges, while a frosted or opal bulb softens the shadows and provides more diffused ambient light. The E27 fitting accepts bulbs up to 60W and is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable LED bulb. The white finish pairs with both contemporary white interiors and provides contrast against darker walls in industrial or Scandi-style rooms.

What bulb does the Aeron take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 6-10W warm-white LED for general lighting, or a clear LED filament bulb to show the bulb structure inside the cage and create sharper shadow patterns.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The pendant itself supports dimming — you need to ensure both the bulb and the wall dimmer are compatible with each other.

How is the cable length adjusted?

The 2000mm cable is adjustable during installation by looping excess cable inside the ceiling rose or using a cable grip mechanism. Once installed, the drop is fixed unless the pendant is removed and refitted.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means the Aeron is designed for dry indoor locations only. It is not suitable for bathroom zones where moisture or direct water contact may occur.
