The Virella is a 5-light crystal chandelier with five flared optical glass bowl shades mounted on curved nickel arms radiating from a central column. Each glass bowl houses a single G9 bulb (sold separately), with faceted lead crystal droplets suspended below the frame catching and dispersing the light. A central crystal pendant drops beneath the main body, extending the chandelier's visual presence and adding a second tier of crystal detail.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Virella combines traditional chandelier form with a cooler contemporary nickel finish. The 45cm diameter suits dining tables from 1.2-1.8m and room sizes up to 4m x 4m where the chandelier acts as a central ceiling fitting. The curved arms create an open structure that avoids a heavy or cluttered appearance, while the optical glass diffuses light evenly rather than projecting sharp shadows.

The nickel-plated metal frame provides a silvery-grey tone that sits between the cooler temperature of polished chrome and the warmer cast of brass, making it compatible with both warm-toned wood and cooler grey or white interiors. The optical glass bowls show vertical ribbing on the exterior that refracts light into linear patterns across the glass surface. The chandelier uses five G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Maximum wattage is 33W total across all five bulbs. Most users pair this with 4-6W LED G9 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to balance ambient light with the crystal detailing.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 40cm drop from ceiling rose to the lowest crystal pendant suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Below this height the chandelier may feel low in standard residential rooms. The drop is fixed and cannot be adjusted on installation.

Is the chandelier dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the G9 bulbs you choose. LED G9 bulbs marked as dimmable will work with standard trailing-edge dimmers. Non-dimmable LED bulbs will flicker or fail to dim. Halogen G9 bulbs are inherently dimmable.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the chandelier and allow bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal droplet individually with a dry microfibre cloth. For heavier soiling, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works without leaving mineral deposits. Do not use chemical sprays or abrasive cloths on the crystal or nickel frame.
