Description

The Toulix is a five-light chandelier combining fluted optical glass shades, Strass crystal droplets and a gold-finish metal frame. Five curved arms radiate from a central column, each supporting a tiered glass shade with vertical ribbing and a suspended crystal drop beneath. Upright crystal rods project from the top plate, adding vertical structure above the canopy.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and main bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Toulix provides both ambient and decorative lighting through its five BC (bayonet cap) bulbs, each rated up to 60W. The 45cm diameter suits tables and rooms of 3-4m width without dominating the ceiling plane, while the 35cm body height allows adjustment of the overall drop through the suspension chain length during installation.

The gold finish on the metal frame provides a warm metallic tone that works with both traditional and warm-toned contemporary interiors, particularly those using rich wall colours, deep upholstery tones and natural wood. The fluted optical glass shades refract light through vertical grooves, softening the bulb glare and creating prismatic patterns across adjacent surfaces. The Strass crystal droplets beneath each arm catch and reflect both natural daylight and artificial light, adding movement when air currents shift them slightly.

At 5kg the chandelier requires secure ceiling fixing to a joist or suitable load-bearing point, and the BC bulbs allow use of modern LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to maintain the gold-toned aesthetic while reducing heat output compared to traditional incandescent bulbs.

The chandelier takes five BC (B22 bayonet cap) bulbs, each rated up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to match the gold finish and reduce heat output.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 35cm body height suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The overall drop can be adjusted during installation by shortening or extending the suspension chain, allowing the chandelier to hang 60-80cm above a dining table or 2-2.2m above floor level in an entrance hall.

Is the chandelier dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs used. If you fit dimmable LED BC bulbs and pair them with a compatible LED dimmer switch, the chandelier can be dimmed. Non-dimmable LED bulbs will not work with dimmers.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool completely before cleaning. Wipe the crystal droplets and rods with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal fittings or allowing water to run into the bulb holders.
