Description
The Sorrelle is an 8-light chandelier built around a central gold column with eight curved arms extending in a symmetrical radial arrangement, each supporting a gold G9 bulb holder, a faceted optical glass platform, and a tapered cut crystal droplet beneath. The central column stacks three optical glass elements between gold-plated metal sections, giving the chandelier a vertical emphasis despite its 56cm horizontal spread.
Designed for dining rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Sorrelle pairs traditional chandelier structure with the geometric clarity of machine-cut optical glass. The 40cm height from canopy to lowest droplet means it sits well over a 1.8-2.2m dining table when hung 700-900mm above the surface, or at 2.1-2.3m floor clearance in an entrance hall. The eight G9 fittings distribute light evenly across the diameter, with the optical glass platforms refracting light into prismatic patterns on the ceiling.
The gold finish on the arms and column provides warm metallic accents against the clear optical glass and crystal, pairing with traditional, art deco and warm contemporary interiors. The combined glass, crystal and metal frame give the chandelier a substantial 7kg weight that requires a ceiling strong enough to support the load via a standard UK ceiling rose. Each of the eight arms terminates in a pointed crystal finial hanging beneath the glass platform, adding decorative detail visible from below.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take?
The Sorrelle takes eight G9 capsule bulbs with a maximum wattage of 33W total across all eight fittings. Most users fit 3-4W LED G9 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for dining room use. Bulbs are sold separately.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 40cm drop from canopy to lowest crystal point means the chandelier suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. For dining tables it typically hangs 700-900mm above the surface, giving floor clearances of 2.1-2.3m depending on installation height.
Is the chandelier dimmable?
Dimmer compatibility depends on the G9 bulbs fitted and the dimmer switch used. LED G9 bulbs marked as 'dimmable' on their packaging will work with most trailing-edge LED dimmers, but non-dimmable LEDs will flicker or fail. Check bulb specifications before pairing with a dimmer circuit.
How is the optical glass cleaned?
The glass platforms and crystal droplets collect dust over time. Clean with a dry microfibre cloth or a barely-damp cloth with distilled water. Avoid household glass cleaners or sprays that can leave residue on the facets and dull the refraction.
