The Sorrelle is a 28-light chandelier built across four tiered arms radiating from a central nickel-plated column, with a total diameter of 100cm and a drop of 86cm before chain. Each arm supports a vertically fluted optical glass shade housing a G9 bulb (sold separately), with a tapered crystal-cut finial beneath each shade. The arms are arranged in concentric circles — 4 lights on the top tier, 8 on the second, 8 on the third, and 8 on the bottom tier — creating a symmetrical stepped profile.

Designed for tall stairwells, double-height entrance halls, formal dining rooms and large reception spaces with ceiling heights of 3.5m or higher, the Sorrelle delivers both ambient and decorative light across a wide spread. The 28kg weight and 100cm diameter mean this chandelier needs a reinforced ceiling fixing and sufficient clearance around it — at least 1.5m radius of open space to avoid overwhelming a room. The nickel finish on the metalwork catches and reflects light from the 28 individual bulbs, amplifying the output without competing visually with the glass elements.

The optical glass shades are moulded with vertical ribbing that refracts light into linear patterns on surrounding walls and ceilings. The sharp tapered finials beneath each shade add vertical emphasis and a contemporary edge to the otherwise classical tiered chandelier form. The combination of polished nickel metalwork and clear optical glass gives the fitting a cooler tonal palette than brass or gold equivalents, pairing well with greys, whites, cool blues and monochrome interiors.

At 28 lights the Sorrelle can deliver substantial illumination when paired with 33W G9 LED bulbs (maximum combined 924W if all sockets are maxed, though typical LED usage would be closer to 280-420W total). The fitting is not dimmable by default unless paired with compatible dimmable G9 LEDs and an appropriate dimmer circuit — please confirm dimmer compatibility before installation if this is required.

What ceiling height is needed?

The chandelier has an 86cm body height before chain, plus the suspension length from the ceiling rose. For safe clearance and visual proportion, ceiling heights of 3.5m or above are recommended. In double-height entrance halls or stairwells with 4-6m ceilings, the Sorrelle can be suspended to sit 2-2.5m above floor level.

Does it come with bulbs?

No. The fitting takes 28 G9 bulbs (sold separately), each up to 33W maximum. Most installations use G9 LED bulbs between 3-6W per socket, giving a combined output of 84-168W across all 28 lights.

Is it dimmable?

The chandelier can be dimmed if paired with dimmable G9 LED bulbs and a compatible dimmer circuit. Not all G9 LEDs are dimmable, so check bulb specifications before purchasing if dimming is required.

What reinforcement is needed for installation?

At 28kg the Sorrelle requires a reinforced ceiling fixing capable of safely supporting at least 35-40kg dynamic load. Standard plasterboard ceiling roses are not sufficient — the fitting should be fixed directly to a ceiling joist or use a spreader plate secured to multiple joists. Professional installation is strongly recommended.
