Samero 9 Light Optical Glass Chandelier - Gold

The Samero is a 9-light chandelier built on a two-tier polished gold frame, with three candle-style arms on the upper tier and six on the lower, each fitted with an optical glass bobeche and a G9 bulb fitting. Clear cut crystal droplets hang beneath each arm, and a faceted optical glass finial sits between the upper tier and the ceiling canopy. The chandelier weighs 6kg and measures 58cm in diameter with a 44cm drop before chain extension.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and principal bedrooms where ceiling height allows at least 2.4m clearance, the Samero provides multi-point light across a 1.5-2m circular area when fitted with G9 halogen or LED bulbs. The two-tier arrangement places three bulbs at eye level when seated and six slightly lower, distributing light for dining without glare. The optical glass bobeches act as secondary reflectors, directing light outward and downward onto the table surface or floor.

The polished gold finish on the metalwork reflects surrounding light and pairs with warm-toned interiors, oak furniture and heritage colour schemes. The optical glass components are precision-cut to create prismatic effects when the bulbs are lit, turning each bobeche and the central finial into a faceted accent. The cut crystal droplets add movement and sparkle without the density of a full crystal chandelier, keeping the overall form open and readable from below.

The chandelier accepts up to 33W total load, which translates to nine 3-4W LED G9 bulbs or nine low-wattage halogen G9s. The bulbs are not supplied with the fitting. The ceiling canopy covers a standard UK ceiling rose, and the chain length is adjustable on installation to suit different ceiling heights. The gold finish is electroplated onto a brass-alloy frame, so the colour remains stable under heat from the bulbs.

What bulbs does the Samero take?

The chandelier has nine G9 bi-pin fittings with a combined maximum load of 33W. This typically accommodates nine 3-4W LED G9 bulbs or nine low-wattage halogen G9s. Bulbs are not included and must be purchased separately.

What ceiling height is needed?

The chandelier itself measures 44cm in drop before chain extension. For use above a dining table, allow 700-800mm clearance between the table surface and the lowest point of the chandelier, which requires a ceiling height of approximately 2.4m minimum. The chain can be shortened during installation for lower ceilings.

Is the Samero dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulbs used and the dimmer switch installed. LED G9 bulbs need to be marked as dimmable and paired with an LED-compatible dimmer. Halogen G9 bulbs are inherently dimmable with standard trailing-edge dimmers.

How is the optical glass cleaned?

The optical glass bobeches and finial can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth when the power is off and the bulbs have cooled. For deeper cleaning, remove dust with a soft brush first, then wipe gently with a barely-damp cloth. Avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the glass as liquid can pool in the joints where the glass meets the metal frame.
