Samero 8 Light Optical Glass Chandelier - Gold

The Samero is an 8-light chandelier built around a tiered gold-finished metal column with eight arms radiating outward, each holding a circular optical glass dish and a G9 bulb fitting. Clear faceted crystal droplets hang beneath each arm, and a larger central faceted sphere sits at the column's base. The optical glass dishes feature geometric cut patterns that refract light when the chandelier is lit.

Designed for dining rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, entrance halls, and formal living rooms, the Samero provides ambient and decorative lighting over a table or in an open floor area. The 58cm diameter suits tables of 120-160cm length or entrance halls of 3-4m width. The 36cm body height excludes the chain, which can be adjusted during installation to position the chandelier 700-900mm above a dining surface or 2-2.2m above an entrance hall floor depending on ceiling height.

The gold finish is applied over metal and shows high reflectivity under both daylight and artificial light, making it noticeable in traditional, classical and warm-toned interiors. The optical glass dishes are machine-cut with diamond-facet patterns rather than hand-cut crystal, giving crisp geometric detail at a lower weight than equivalent lead crystal chandeliers. At 6kg total weight, the fitting requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or reinforced rose and is not suitable for plasterboard-only ceilings without additional support.

What bulbs does the Samero take?

The chandelier requires eight G9 capsule bulbs with a maximum of 33W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit warm-white LED G9s between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for dining room use, which provides sufficient light output while remaining dimmable on compatible dimmers.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

The 36cm body height and 58cm diameter make the Samero better suited to ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. In rooms with 2.4m ceilings the chandelier can feel visually heavy unless positioned over a table where the lower height places it in correct proportion to the furniture beneath.

Can the chain length be adjusted?

Yes. The suspension chain can be shortened during installation by removing links, allowing the chandelier to be positioned at the appropriate height for the room. For dining tables this is typically 700-900mm above the table surface; for entrance halls 2-2.2m above floor level.

How is the optical glass cleaned?

The optical glass dishes and crystal droplets can be wiped with a soft, dry microfibre cloth while the chandelier is switched off and cool. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid household sprays or chemical cleaners, which can leave residue in the faceted cuts.
